Welcome to my page.
I was born in 1998 in Riga, Latvia, where I have lived my whole life. I have had several hobbies throughout my life including skateboarding, photography, and in 2020 I took up a hobby I have had on an on and off basis since the age of 16 - programming.
My coding journey started with html and css in high-school, however, in university, I started learning stata. During my studies I found out about a programming language called R, which is used mostly for statistical analysis and machine learning and I managed to learn quite a bit during working with it for 1.5 years. However, I wanted to switch to something more robust, so I took up Python, with which I have been programming for over 3 years now (May 2023) and I have managed to work with analysis of large datasets, worked with several API's from the public registers, and automated daily processes and repeating tasks.
During 2022, I took up a full-stack development course in Codecademy, which gave me the knowledge required to create a react application, using which I created the first version of this website.
Then, during the summer of 2023 I transformed it into a NextJS application.
However, since I started working daily with Nuxt, I decided to switch the website into a Nuxt 3 application, with which it is built at this stage.
I have always wanted to create my own webpage built from scratch, and this website is my dream come true. Feel free to click around and see some of the things I have learned throughout my coding journey.
